As a Sales Representative at PLS Logistics Services, you will leverage your extensive sales experience to drive revenue growth, foster strong client relationships, and help manage freight logistics nationwide. Responsibilities:
First Week:
- Gain a deep understanding of PLS Logistics Services, the logistics industry, and our business model.
- Participate in advanced training sessions to learn about our transportation management system and tools designed for success.
- Network with company leaders and fellow senior sales professionals to understand best practices.
- Begin refining your approach to strategic client development and market expansion.
First Month:
- Proactively expand your portfolio of high-value clients through targeted prospecting and outreach.
- Utilize your experience in price negotiation to close complex, high-value deals, positioning PLS as a preferred logistics partner.
- Take ownership of client service challenges, ensuring timely and satisfactory resolutions while maintaining client trust and loyalty.
- Leverage your expertise to collaborate with internal teams and provide feedback on process improvements.
- Effectively manage your sales pipeline and client communications through our CRM and tracking systems.
First Six Months:
- Establish yourself as a trusted logistics advisor, guiding your clients through complex challenges and offering tailored, high-impact solutions.
- Collaborate with Logistics Coordinators to streamline service delivery, allowing you to focus on growing your book of business.
- Continuously pursue growth opportunities, positioning yourself for advancement into leadership roles.
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of the logistics landscape, including current market rates, capacities, and carrier relationships, and use this knowledge to provide clients with cutting-edge solutions.
First Year and Beyond:
- Solidify your position as a top revenue generator within the company by consistently exceeding sales targets and client expectations.
- Explore leadership opportunities by mentoring junior sales staff, sharing your expertise to help them succeed.
- Continue to expand your influence within the company and the industry by building long-lasting client partnerships and representing PLS in high-level negotiations.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 5+ years of proven success in a B2B sales environment, preferably in logistics, transportation, or a related industry.
- Sales Acumen: Demonstrated ability to build and manage a portfolio of high-value clients and close complex deals with significant revenue potential.
- Client-Centric: Strong focus on client satisfaction and long-term relationship building, with the ability to solve client issues proactively.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of logistics, including freight rates, capacity management, and carrier relationships.
- Communication & Negotiation: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with expertise in negotiating high-value contracts and influencing decision-makers.
- Leadership: Ability to take on leadership responsibilities, mentor junior sales team members, and contribute to the overall success of the team.
- Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with CRM systems, sales tracking software, and logistics management platforms
